Why Junior League?

I joined Junior League to learn more about this group of talented women who I noticed would organize large events in our area for good causes. I wanted to learn more about that and wanted to know how I could be involved in these projects. Initially, I was a little worried because I didn't know many of the women. However, that quickly changed. I soon realized that league was not only a great opportunity to help my community, but was the prime example of bettering myself and helping to give young women in our community the tools needed to take on large projects and utilize their leadership skills not only in work place, but in the community as well. Every interaction I have with league, whether it be a meeting, board meeting, committee meeting, volunteer placement, and/or event- I have learned that I am always learning. However, that only motivates me to learn more and model that it's okay not to know everything and that we trust one another with the strengths we do have. Together as an organization we are a powerful group of women and tackle every project we set our sights on. We are unstoppable.

“JLH is a way to contribute to my community while improving my knowledge by working on projects alongside amazing women. Every meeting and function I attend has afforded me the opportunity to learn and grow as an individual and reflect on how I can better be an asset to my community. I know I can always count on the support from a diverse group of women who all want the same goal: make our community the best for all members no matter their background.”-Noelia Sanchez
